Koen Alexander is a writer, video editor, and animator from The Netherlands.

Since childhood Koen has been experimenting with writing various types of stories and sketching different sorts of characters. During his teenage years, Koen pivoted his passion of writing to editing and animation. After years of working in digital entertainment, he came back to writing and created his debut picture book, "Zackie Zebra" - a book designed as a gift for his nephew’s second birthday. 

After great reception from his family, and a successful self published sales round in the Netherlands, he found Phoenix Tale Press (an independent publishing company). With their assistance, Koen was able to move forward with English translations of his books and launch them in the US - offering many more kids the chance to enjoy Zackie’s adventures.
